Kabila moja Mukuru moja amani

Due to the post election violence of 2007,the Kenyan community has taken drastic steps in preaching peace.
It is in this regard that a community based organisation,(Mwangaza Mashinani) run by the youth of mukuru slums has started a peace initiative campaign in the neighbourhood.

The campaign labelled,"kabila moja mukuru moja amani" will go all the way till the end of december.

The peace campaign will hold seminars and football matches in mukuru.

Mwangaza Mashinani in collaboration with vineyard Nairobi south,a faith based organisation, yesterday launched the peace initiative campaign at Railway Training Institute in south b.

The campaign was kicked off with a football match between Usafi youth group, a branch of Mwangaza Mashinani and Vineyard Kenya where Vineyard thrashed Usafi 4-0.

The event was attended by people of all walks of lives and from different tribes, political affiliations, religion, sex and culture all with one interest,to build a peaceful Kenya starting from within their communities and spread all over our beloved Kenya especially this year when general elections are due to take place.

I hope we all learnt a bitter  lesson in 2007 post election violence.
