In matters football and sports, Jeff who hails from Landmawe ward in Mukuru slums has an impeccable record.
8.Alex Onkundi
Popularly nicknamed the "Chairman" Alex has massive influence in Nairobi South especially among his tribesmen. Politically, he is the next kingpin of the Abagusii in ward 1 and ooh yeah he is politically connected.
7. Garang. (GOON)
He is the ghetto robin hood . Popular for championing the rights of youths in the mariguini slum upgrading project. Garang has used his massive influence on the youths of mariguini to summon the area MCA to shed light on the upgrading project and the involvement of youths. Politically, he is a star on the rise.
6. Jackson Osore (Mbula)
Has perfected the art of campus politics. Mix that with ghetto rustiness and you have another Babu Owino in the making. Mbula is the general in Fuata Nyayo and together with Garang suddenly the word GOON has a new meaning..
5. Victoria Wangui (Vicky)
Looks are indeed deceiving. In a male dominated political arena, Vicky has curved a niche for herself and other young aspiring women politicians. She is vicious, she is no nonsense and does not take prisoners and hell yeah you had it right, she is well connected. Landmawe ward, watch out for this beauty with brains.
4. Calvins Gaucho Okoth
Aggressive, rusty, shrewd, highly connected and a speech to match, Gaucho is your typical Modern day Kenyan politician. He has vast experience in politics having vied for the ODM ticket twice in Landmawe ward but lost to the incubent Kaimosi. He was also instrumental in selling the NASA agenda in both Landmawe and Nairobi South wards where NASA was extremely successful. The Landmawe MCA seat is surely his to lose come 2022.
3. George Karanja
Nicknamed Moses Kuria, Karanja has enormous influence and just like Gaucho is equally shrewd, cunning but unlike the latter highly educated which makes him more formidable. He was also instrumental in preaching the JUBILLEE manifesto in Landmawe ward . He gained more influence and fame in the slum when he helped in releasing the ;Kayaba 6; who where accused of causing disturbance and destroying voting materials during the party primaries in Landmawe where he lost to newcomer Paul Topper. His lose was attributed to his loyalty to the then Starehe mp Maina Kamanda but being a quick learner, Karanja is surely on the prowl for the MCA seat come 2022.
2. George "Ondi" Omondi
He rose to prominence during the 2017 ODM party primaries although he has been in politics long before that. He had massive followers especially among the youths during the campaigns where he lost narrowly by a mere 12 votes to ODM flag bearer Obiri Maridadi who lost to Waithera Chege of JUBILLEE.
Ondi continues to be a magnet among the youths of Nairobi South and come 2022 it will be a battle of the titans if he faces the number one contender. LABAN KURIA
1. Laban Kuria (Labo)
Gentle, soft spoken and laid back, not characteristics of a Kenyan politician? Yeah, you are right but let the looks not fool you. Labo is a political magnet. Massively connected. He has been in Nairobi South politics long since independence ha-ha, and has been instrumental in spreading the JUBILLEE agenda in the area. He narrowly lost the jubilee nominations to the now area MCA Waithera Chege but refused to go independent despite pleads from both his supporters and other politicians. He refused to split the JUBILLEE vote helping waithera clinch the seat. Labo 2022 is around the corner.
